China No Longer in Need of Food Aid: WFP

The UN food agency (WFP) says China no longer needs international food aid and can now start donating food.

WFP's chief, James Morris, says China has built its capacity to address its own problems. He says China has a lot to give the world - a lot of brain power, a lot of experience and a lot of resources. Mr. Morris says China is one of the most important countries in the world ,so he'll be asking them to help the UN food agency. The WFP head is in China meeting with officials to discuss Beijing's change in status from recipient to donor nation.
