Brazilian Footballer Kaka Helps Launch a WFP Campaign to Feed Schoolchildren

The World Food Programme has launched a campaign called "Fill the Cup" with the help of AC Milan Brazilian star footballer Kaka.

The campaign is also supported by Ghanaian President and African Union President, John Kufuor and Milan's Mayor, Letizia Moratti. The campaign aims to feed the 59 million children in developing countries around the world, who currently go to school hungry. WFP is seeking to raise funding from governments, from companies and from individuals. The UN food agency estimates that it would cost about 3 billion US dollars per year to feed all the needy children. It has calculated that just 25 cents can give one child one cup of porridge, rice or beans and provide girls with a monthly ration to take home. And feeding children in school, the agency points out, promotes not only education, but also healthy and strong communities.

[In this public service announcement, Kaka asks children what they want to be when they grow up.
