World Autism Awareness Day observed

Today is World Autism Awareness Day, to be celebrated every year on April 2.

The UN Department of Public Information has been holding a series of activities since 27 March 2008, designated to raise awareness on this tragic, developmental disability. Today, Wednesday, 2 April, the formal UN observance is taking place at Headquarters.
