UN office condemns weekend suicide attack in Sri Lanka

The United Nations in Sri Lanka has condemned a suicide attack that killed 15 people during a peaceful sporting event in the capital Colombo on Sunday.

In a press statement, the UN office there condemned all violence and indiscriminate attacks against civilians in Sri Lanka, and offered condolences to the families of the victims. Among those who died were a government Minister and a number of athletes.
