UN praises historic elections in Nepal
10/04/2008
Voting in historic elections in Nepal has ended with the United Nations praising the tremendous enthusiasm on the part of voters.
The landmark vote, central to the peace process signed in 2006, is for a 601-seat assembly and involved mainstream parties and Maoist rebels.
Gerry Adams spoke with special envoy and head of the UN Mission in Nepal Ian Martin and first asked him how did the elections go.
