Mention the word "migrant" or "illegal immigration" anywhere in the world and you will stir up a hornet's nest of controversy. This is no less true of the debate in Europe. In this edition, we will shed light on illegal migrants and the history of migration in Italy. Recently, Maha Fayek of Umoted Nations Radio visited Italy and discovered the many dimensions of this problem and how it is being dealt with. She will share some of her conversations with illegal migrants, and officials from agencies like the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
