27/06/2008
The new UN Envoy for Kosovo arrived in the capital Pristina this week to take up his duties as the UN mission there, known as UNMIK, undergoes a period of transition.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has proposed changes to the UN presence there in the wake of Kosovo's decision in February to declare its independence from Serbia.
