Security Council condemns attack on UNAMID

There's been more reaction to Wednesday's attack on the UN peacekeeping mission in Darfur.

Members of the UN Security Council have strongly condemned the attack on a military and police convoy of the UN-African Union Hybrid Operation in Darfur,UNAMID, which resulted in the deaths of seven peacekeepers and a further 22 wounded.

In a press statement, the members of the Council stressed that any attack or threat against UNAMID is unacceptable and demand that there be no further attacks.

And they've called for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
