A survivor of a terrorist attack recalls her ordeal
04/09/2008
The General Assembly is holding a plenary meeting to review the United Nations global strategy to combat terrorism adopted two years ago. Ten years ago, on 7 August, hundreds of people were killed in car bomb explosions at the embassies of the United States in Kenya and Tanzania.
Caroline Wavai survived the bomb blast in Nairobi and during her visit to the United Nations recently, she told UN Radio's Derrick Mbatha that when the attack took place, she was working as a computer programmer in an office next to the United Sates embassy.
