A tribute to the late President Levy Mwanawasa of Zambia

-President Levy Patrick Mwanawasa of Zambia was put in his final resting place on 3 September. The Zambian leader is being remembered as a principled man who fought against corruption and promoted good governance. The charge d'affaires at the Permanent Mission of Zambia to the United Nations, Irene Tembo, says the late President of Zambia was outspoken about what is going on in Southern Africa.

A survivor of terrorist attack on U.S. embassy in Nairobi recalls her ordeal

-The General Assembly is meeting to review the United Nations Global strategy to combat terrorism. Ten years ago, on 7 August, hundreds of people were killed in car bomb explosions at the embassies of the United States in Kenya and Tanzania. Caroline Wavai survived the bomb blast in Nairobi and tells UN Radio about her ordeal.
