Hurrican Gustav causes severe damage in Cuba

Hurricane Gustav, which landed on the island of Cuba almost a week ago, left more than 120.000 houses either partially or totally destroyed and damaged the electric system, telecommunications and agriculture of the country.

Classified as a Category 4 storm with 350 km per hour winds, as we hear from Susan McDade, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Cuba, this storm was a record-breaker:
