Women and the right to food

The dramatic rise in food prices this year has led to shortages and even riots in many countries. It has also increased the risk of malnutrition and hunger among the poorest and most vulnerable people. Many of these are women and girls, as Bissera Kostova found out from Dr. Joyce Braak, President of the Institute for Research on Women's Health.
