ILO says sexual exploitation of children is widespread

Preparations are under way for the World Congress against Sexual Exploitation of Children to be held in Brazil in November this year.

As part of these preparations, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and ECPAT, a network of individuals and organizations promoting national plans to tackle this problem, are holding the European and Central Asian meeting in Geneva.

UN Radio's Alpha Diallo discussed this issue with Joost Kooijmans, an ILO legal officer dealing with child labour.
