The UN refugee agency - UNHCR says it is seeking more than US$17 million to help more than 300,000 people forced fro their homes in Pakistan by floods and fighting.
The agency says it has urgently distributed supplies to more than 80,000 affected people and is supporting the authorities in the areas of emergency shelter, registration and camp management.UNHCR Spokesman William Spindler.
"According to government figures, there are now an estimated 90,000 internally displaced people in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province due to the ongoing fighting in the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan."
UNHCR says the numbers are fluid as people come and go from their villages but they're expected to increase as the conflict intensifies.
