Music draws people together, and this evening at the UN, in celebration of UN Day, renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma will lead his Silk Road Ensemble in a special concert at the UN. A United Nations Messenger for Peace, Yo-Yo Ma is founder and artistic director of the Silk Road Ensemble, which is made up of musicians and other artists from the more than 20 countries that are along the historical Silk Road trading route. Mr. Ma, who founded the project 10 years ago to promote innovation and learning through the arts, shared a message for the world and UN staff, ahead of this evening's concert.
