Jamaica warns that drugs and crime remain a priority for the Caribbean

Drugs and crime remain priority concerns not only for the Caribbean region but the entire international community. That's what Jamaica's representative Ambassador Raymond Wolfe told the General Assembly's Social and Humanitarian committee during general discussion on crime prevention, criminal justice and international drug control.

Every effort should be made to improve women's health, enhance their capacities, increase their access to resources and opportunities and minimize their vulnerabilities to violence and conflicts.

According to the Group of 77 and China, although advances in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women, the G'77 and China believes there s insufficient progress toward achieving Millennium Development Goal number 3.
