On July 30th, elements of the Rwandan Hutu rebel group, the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwandan or FDLR, and the Congolese Mai-Mai rebel group seized a remote town in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and went on a rampage, pillaging and raping women. The UN Chief, Mr. Ban Ki-moon expressed his outrage at the tragic incident.
