Entrepreneurs are key to bringing more jobs and prosperity to the so-called Maritime-Continental Silk Road: the modern-day successor to the ancient trade routes linking Europe and Asia.

That's according to Dan Liang, Chairperson of the board of directors for the UN Maritime-Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance.

She is one of the delegates taking part in the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum 2017 this week in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.

The Alliance, established in 2015, aims to develop stronger partnerships and best practices between entrepreneurs.

May Yaacoub is at the forum for UN News, and she asked Ms Liang to explain why she had come to Bahrain.
