Myanmar must provide help to prevent "catastrophe": UN chief

With thousands of Rohingya refugees pouring into Bangladesh amid reports of violent excesses by Myanmar's security forces, the UN chief said on Friday that restraint was needed to "avoid a humanitarian catastrophe".
