UN chief expresses "praise, admiration" for Uganda refugee efforts

The UN chief said the Ugandan people deserved praise and admiration from the whole international community for taking in close to a million refugees from neighbouring South Sudan.

Speaking at Imvepi refugee settlement—home to hundreds of thousands of men, women and children who have fled war and famine—António Guterres said their generosity stood in stark contrast to countries "closing their doors" to refugees.
