Both the developing and the developed world have "a lot of work to do," to create a sustainable energy future, a UN energy expert has said.

Scott Foster is the director of the Sustainable Energy Division at the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

He was at UN Headquarters for a panel discussion on the role of energy in sustainable development.

He warned that clean energy development needs to be "aggressive" and happen "fast" in order to meet the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Following the discussion, Lucy Dean asked Mr Foster what role developed countries had in helping developing countries implement clean energy practices.
