Love and hope are what refugees need most: relief expert

In times of stress, people cling to their faith more than a child to their blanket, so faith-based organizations have a unique role to play in assisting refugees, a religious aid expert has said.

Anwar Khan is the CEO of Islamic Relief USA. He participated in a discussion at UN Headquarters on the role of faith-based organizations in refugee assistance.

Lucy Dean spoke to Mr Khan and began by asking about the ways organizations like Islamic Relief can prevent the radicalization of vulnerable populations.
