Road accidents are a global pandemic that more countries around the world could help to eradicate through the power of cinema.

That's the message from Michelle Yeoh, actress and road safety advocate, who's been taking part in a film festival hosted by the UN agency which is responsible for traffic issues: the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

Ms Yeoh told journalists that it was "unacceptable" that the issue was still happening but was encouraged that the festival's more than 230 entries showed that people wanted to do something about it.
