Fears of potential humanitarian catastrophe in Mosul

A massive aid operation is under way to help civilians who are expected to flee conflict in the Iraqi city of Mosul, amid warnings by the UN that ISIL extremists there may be using chemical weapons.

An estimated one million people could be displaced as the Iraqi army attempts to push ISIL fighters away from the northern Iraqi city, which they've held since 2014.
