A "huge escalation" of bombardments in the Syrian city, Aleppo, has led to the deaths of at least 96 children, according to the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The agency says there are only 30 doctors left in the eastern part of the city which it says it now fully besieged.

A ceasefire which was agreed by warring parties earlier in the month broke down after a humanitarian convoy was attacked by fighter planes.

Cristina Silveiro has been speaking to UNICEF's Kieran Dwyer who is in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
