Only way to SDGs is unlocking “power and potential” of youth

The only way to end world poverty and achieve the United Nations' goals for sustainable development (SDGs) is to "unlock the potential and the power of young people".

That's according to Ahmad Alhendawi, Youth Envoy for the UN Secretary General.

Alhendawi pointed out that two-thirds of the population in developing countries are under 30, so it's important to recognize their role as innovators.

On August 12, International Youth Day, Alhendawi explained to Basma Baghall the importance of youth participation.
