A Ugandan woman who was abducted as an 11 year old by a notorious African warlord says that despite an incredibly difficult life she "can still do great things to bring about change in the world."

Evelyn Amony was held by the Lord's Resistance Army or LRA for over 11 years, during which time she was repeatedly raped by the rebel group's leader, Joseph Kony.

Ms Amony has recently published a book about her time with the LRA, and the effect it has had on her since.

Daniel Dickinson met her in New York and began by asking her where her story started.
