Young indigenous people should celebrate their heritage and revitalize their native languages through making music.

That's the message from Nils Rune Utsi, also known as SlinCraze, an up-and-coming rapper who is a member of the Sami community in Norway and the subject of a powerful new documentary, Arctic Superstar.

He performed at UN Headquarters in New York this week during the on-going Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

Janie Cangelosi has the story.
