The migration of people to cities across the world may provide the "greatest opportunity" to achieve sustainable development.

That's according to Joan Clos, the Executive Director of the United Nations settlements agency, UN Habitat, speaking on the day of launch of the World Cities Report 2016.

With more than two-thirds of the global population expected to live in urban areas by 2030, the report considers the role those cities will play in reaching new poverty and development targets, known as the SDGs.

Daniel Dickinson asked Joan Clos if it was counter-intuitive to see urbanization as an opportunity for development.
