Up to 70% drop in oil revenue hits Nigeria "hard"

A 70 per cent drop in oil revenue in Nigeria has hit the West African country "quite hard" according to Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun.

Speaking on the margins of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, Ms Adeosun said that the government needed to diversify its revenue base by ensuring improved collection of tax, customs and non-oil revenues.
