Lebanon has shown an "extraordinary commitment" to hosting refugees from Syria which makes it a "model of acceptance" other countries should learn from.

That's the upbeat view of Phillipe Lazzarini, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon, speaking ahead of the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul later this month.

A quarter of the population are now refugees.

He said that Lebanon's hugely diverse religious and sectarian make-up meant that it was used to integrating newcomers, and it had made a long-term commitment to refugee families.

Mr Lazzarini spoke to Cristina Silveiro.
