Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people in Indonesia face discrimination by the government, the religious majority and the media.

That's according to Yuli Rustinawati, leader of Arus Pelangi or Rainbow Stream in English, a human rights group that fights for LGBTI people in the South-East Asian country.

Ms Rustinawati recently attended what's been described as one of the largest gatherings of LGBTI people at the United Nations.

She's been speaking to Janie Cangelosi.
