One hundred and twenty-nine United Nations peacekeepers who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2015 have been remembered at a ceremony at UN Headquarters in New York.

The blue helmets, as they are known, came from 50 different countries and were honoured ahead of International Day of UN Peacekeepers which is marked annually on 29th May.

The ceremony took place the day after five peacekeepers were killed in Mali.

Daniel Dickinson followed the ceremony.
