Stamping out sex abuse by UN personnel

Sexual abuse committed by civilian and military personnel working for the United Nations has been called "an extremely serious and troubling issue," an issue which ambassadors and senior UN officials have put under a spotlight.

A wave of allegations, mainly against UN peacekeepers and other military personnel not serving under the United Nations flag, has both shocked and saddened the global body and people worldwide.
