An "immediate, orderly and peaceful" handover of power to Libya's unity government needs to take place as the peace accord stipulates, the UN envoy to the country has urged.

A Government of National Unity was formed after the signing of a peace deal back in December in an effort to end a civil war waged by rival factions since 2014.

The House of Representatives is expected to meet in the port city of Tobruk early next week to endorse the new transitional authorities.

Martin Kobler, who is also the head of the UN Support Mission in Libya, UNSMIL told May Yaacoub how important this encounter is.
