Women can bring "softer touch" to field of science and technologyListen /
Young women can add value to the field of science and technology by bringing a "softer touch" to the male-dominated industry, according to a 17-year old girl from Israel.
Dorin Cohen, one of three high school girls to visit UN Headquarters in New York to present projects completed through The Women Engineers of Tomorrow programme believes it's important to encourage women to work and progress in these domains.
The programme, run by Israel's Aerospace Industries, is aimed at developing and empowering the next generation of female engineers.
One hundred girls were divided into teams, which each had to provide a technological solution to a common problem.
Dorin Cohen spoke to Carmen Cuesta Roca about her project and how it felt to be invited to the UN to present it.
