Protection of antiquities is a global issue

The protection of historical artifacts is not just an issue during conflict, but a global concern.

That's the view of Dr Donna Yates, a lecturer on antiquities trafficking and art crime at the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Dr Yates participated in a round table discussion on the movement of cultural property hosted by the UN cultural agency, UNESCO, in Paris on Wednesday.

She spoke to Janie Cangelosi about the areas most in danger of looting and what can be done about it.
