A new report endorsed by the UN that examines child indoctrination by the ISIL terrorist group represents the "crisis of an entire generation".

That's according to the senior researcher launching the report in the UK parliament on Wednesday, called Children and the Islamic State.

The UN cultural organization, UNESCO, contributed to the report, from counter-extremism think-tank, the Quilliam Foundation.

It documents more than 250 cases of children being used in ISIL propaganda, including a dozen as child executioners, in just the last six months.

Matthew Wells has been speaking to some of those involved about its findings, and what can be done to try and stop it.
