Striking level of energy and knowledge of former UN chief

A man with a "striking level of energy and knowledge."

That's how the former Secretary-General of the UN, Boutros Boutros-Ghali has been described by a speech writer in his office.

Mr Boutros-Ghali, the sixth UN Secretary-General and an Egyptian national, died on 16 February.

Jean-Marc Coicaud, Professor of International Relations and Law at Rutgers University in the US wrote speeches for Mr Boutros-Ghali during his tenure from January 1992 to December 1996.

Jerome Longue asked Mr Coicaud to describe working with the former UN chief.
