Agencies from across the United Nations system have joined together to address what's being called "the critically bad situation" of youth unemployment.
Nearly 74 million people worldwide under the age of 25 currently are jobless, according to the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Meanwhile, 40 million of their peers enter the jobs market each year.
Daniel Dickinson has been speaking to ILO Director-General Guy Ryder and asked him how the plan differs from previous initiatives.
