A delegation from the UN Security Council is in Burundi this week in efforts to help bring an end to political turmoil that has killed hundreds of people since April 2015.

Burundi will be high on the agenda when Angola assumes presidency of the chamber in March, according to the country's Ambassador, Ismael Gaspar Martins.

Angola is one of 10 non-permanent members who are elected to serve in the Security Council for two years.

Dianne Penn asked Ambassador Gaspar Martins about lessons learned in 2015 and his priorities for the New Year.
