The issue of climate change needs to be addressed now otherwise it will become increasingly more expensive and more difficult to tackle, according to a senior UN envoy.

The international community is due to meet in Paris, France, in December in order to agree a universal deal which, among other goals, will include keeping global temperature rises below two degrees Celsius.

Janos Pasztor is the Assistant Secretary-General on climate change.

Stephanie Coutrix asked him about the significance of the conference.
