An innovative new tool to track progress and identify gaps in HIV programming in Kenya has been unveiled in the capital, Nairobi.

The Kenya HIV Situation Room, a collaborative effort between the UN agency which deals with AIDS, UNAIDS and the Government of Kenya, is a data and technology partnership.

It is designed to pull together nationwide information on the disease to ensure HIV programmes reach those most in need.

UNAIDs Executive Director, Michel Sidibé told Pauline Wanyonyi at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre that the joint initiative will allow for a more comprehensive view of the country's HIV situation.
