5000 journalists expected at UN for annual meeting

As global leaders gather for the world's most prolific annual international meeting at the UN in New York, media from all corners of the planet are deciding how best to cover the event.

The high-level debate of the General Assembly is the busiest time of the year at the United Nations when security is at its highest and access to news makers lowest.

A visit by the Pope and a special summit on the global development goals will add to an already packed agenda.
