Fighting in Yemen has continued with deadly attacks against residential areas, mosques and markets, the UN's human rights office, OHCHR, said Tuesday.

Airstrikes, but also mortar attacks and sniper fire have been reported in the war-torn country, claiming the lives of at least 165 civilians in an 11-day period up to 15 July, OHCHR said.

There are also fresh reports that children have been recruited by armed groups, along with alarming details of vulnerable migrants being kidnapped and tortured for ransom.

Here’s Daniel Johnson’s report from Geneva.
