The situation in Yemen is getting worse by the hour, according to the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR.

Fighting between Houthi rebels and an Arab coalition supporting the Yemeni Government is putting millions of people at risk of physical injury or death.

As a result, UNHCR says it is seeing a rise in people fleeing by boat across the Gulf of Aden to countries in the Horn of Africa, a route that is historically travelled in the opposite direction.

Stephanie Coutrix spoke with UNHCR Spokesperson Adrian Edwards, and began by asking him to describe the situation on the ground in Yemen.
