A Tanzanian youth radio programme is giving a platform to young people to talk about the issues that are affecting their lives, according to Shaban Ramadhani Maganga.

The Young Reporters Network (YRN) of Tanzania is a UN Children's Fund-led initiative in which children aged 10 to 17 produce radio programmes on subjects which are important to them.

Mr Maganga, National Coordinator for the Network says it not only helps educate youth but helps them to make important connections.

Stephanie Castro has been speaking to UNICEF's Mr Maganga ahead of World Radio Day.
