The abduction and presumed murder of an albino baby in Tanzania has been condemned by the United Nations.

One year old Yohana Bahati who lived with albinism was taken from his home in the north of the East African country on Sunday.

His body was found three days later with arms and legs removed.

Other Albino children have suffered a similar fate.

Witchdoctors claim that body parts of people with albinism bring luck and wealth.

The UN Resident Coordinator in Tanzania is Alvaro Rodriguez.

Assumpta Massoi asked him for his reaction to the abduction.
