Up to 1mn in Syria, Iraq may be "left out in cold" this winter

Up to one million Syrians and Iraqis may be "left out in the cold" as winter approaches, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is warning.

There has been a sharp rise in displaced populations in the region this year because of the ongoing instability.

The agency is concerned that people won't get help because of a $58 million shortfall in funding.
