More than 800 people who have recovered from Ebola are receiving food aid after being discharged from the treatment centres in Sierra Leone.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are now over 14,000 cases of Ebola and more than 5,000 deaths in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The agency says there is some evidence that the number of newly diagnosed cases is no longer on the rise in Guinea and Liberia but steep increases persist in Sierra Leone.

Derrick Mbatha reports.
